Get Set is the Belbin® profile for young people based on the original Belbin® Team Roles, derived from over nine years of research at Henley Management College and now used world-wide by thousands of organisations, universities and colleges. Its premise is that the most successful teams are not those with the brightest stars as members, but those that are balanced in Team Roles.
Team Role Theory is based on the concept of individual strengths and weaknesses contributing to a team and a team role can be described as ‘the way in which an individual behaves when working with others within a team’. Meredith Belbin’s research team identified nine Team Roles, each of which provides a unique and effective contribution to a team situation. For more information check out www.belbin.com
