| The on your mark programme is built around:
| Career ‘Literacy’: |
Developing an understanding of career planning as an ongoing management process rather than a one off event - plus making sense of the realities of the 21st century workplace and its requirements. |
| Self Assessment: |
One-on-one assessment of an individual’s interests, strengths, aspirations and values to develop their self knowledge. This include hard skills (what you know) and soft skills (who you are and how you use it). Here, we use the widely-accepted Holland Theory of Vocational Choice and Belbin’s Team Roles Theory. |
| Exploring Options: |
Identifying and researching potential work and career options and how these fit with the personal attributes. |
| Decision Making & Action Planning: |
Identifying the best development strategy and building a first steps action plan |
